The Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County offers

FREE MEMBERSHIP to Military Dependent Children

For Immediate Release:
May 4, 2009

Harford County, MD – Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County has joined forces with each branch of the military to offer children of reserves, guard and active duty families free club memberships.

MISSION: Youth Outreach will allow the Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County to show its support to military families and meet the demand of children relocating. This program will allow our clubs to expand the reach of after school programs that focus on personal development, the arts, education, recreation and health.

Boys & Girls Clubs currently provides supervised programming by trained youth development professionals to on-base Clubs around the world. MISSION: Youth Outreach will help reach the thousands of youth who live in our communities.

“We have similar values and principles, so a partnership with the Army in light of the number of military families in the area was a natural fit for our organization,” said Randy Acosta, Executive Director. “This is a simple gesture to welcome the thousands of military families moving and living in Harford County and a way of giving back in return for all that the military does each day for our country.”
