The Army sponsored a Sea Perch competition out on APG, Saturday, June 21. Over 25 teams competed. Teams made underwater robots that maneuvered through an obstacle course and picked up ‘treasure boxes’ off the bottom of the pool.
Many thanks to the Army for supporting BGCHC’s STEM program with resources and instruction to build the robots and for hosting the competition. It is our 3rd year participating in the competition.
BGCHC hosted a testing session at the Aberdeen Family Swim Center to prepare for the competition on June 7 where many of the teams were able to practice the course and to work out problems with their robots. Check out some of our pictures from the competition and the actual building process.
