STEM Robotics Pink Pandas Team advances to State Competition

What a pleasure to see the girls compete at the Digital Harbor Qualifier down in Baltimore. They were wonderful representatives of the Club and their families—everyone should be very proud of them! By winning the award for “Core Values” they  earned themselves an invitation to the MD State FLL Tournament on January 19….which means they also earned the privilege of working really hard over the next month to prepare. We are thrilled that they have a chance to prepare now that they understand more about what the competition is all about.

The Core Values award goes to the team that best exemplifies the spirit of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology). They demonstrated team work, determination, appreciation, friendliness–what FIRST calls ‘gracious professionalism.’ They were awesome as individuals but helped each other and other teams be awesome too.

Join the team at the Edgewood Library on Tuesday, January 15 at 6:30pm as they prepare for the MD FIRST tournament.  CLICK HERE FOR FLYER.
